Sick

Today I came down with a cold. Summer colds are no fun especially when allergies are involved. L is so sweet. "Mama, remember rest is best." I let her watch a show (or 4) while I took her advice and rested on the couch. I had plans to get groceries and to take L to the park. Those plans can wait until tomorrow. Hopefully, I will feel better.
My dog has been driving us crazy. She has been peeing all over our new house and I am at my wits end! She has been spending a lot of time outside because of this. Thankfully she did not have any accidents today.
Does your child want to eat the same thing every day? L is only wanting to eat peanut butter sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, and mac and cheese. She has to eat what we have for dinner so that helps add some variety. I need to start making her switch it up.
Tomorrow I am going to try to make homemade bread. It tastes so much better than store bought and doesn't contain preservatives and other junk. Wish me luck!

Welcome back

I decided to revive this blog after a very long hiatus. SOO much has happened since my last post. Ken and I have been married for SIX years now. I am married to the love of my life, my best friend, my greatest earthly gift, and the best daddy to our daughter for six years. It has been a such a blessing.
Yes! We have a 2 year old daughter named Lydia. She is so special. She is our beautiful, smart, silly, kind and loving little girl. She is a gift. I am a stay at home mom now and I love it. It is the most joyful and challenging 'job' I have ever had. Lydia loves fruit (especially strawberries and blueberries), peanut butter, animals, Daniel Tiger, babies, princesses, and her family. She cries when her daddy is at work because she misses him so much. It is truly precious.
Ken changed jobs and is currently at Union Pacific. He works on the software for the black boxes in the trains. He needed a change and UP has been a great opportunity. He has made a lot of friends which makes a huge difference. He has some non-Christian friends that he will be able to show Christ's love to them and hopefully change their hearts. He is such a good man.
We bought a new house a month ago. We love having more space. Our little one has so much stuff! Our other house is still on the market so we are praying that it will sell. We also ended up leaving Dundee Presbyterian church. They had the entire staff leave twice in 7 years. It was just much. So many families left and it was truly heartbreaking. So we are 'church shopping'. We found a church we like that is a mile from our new house.
My brother, Nate, got married! He married a lovely girl named Jessica (Aunt Jessie to L.) They have been married almost a month. What a beautiful day that was. It is hard to believe. He has always been my little brother and now he is a husband! I can't wait to be an aunt ;)
I am hoping to keep this blog updated so we can reflect on it and look back at our life.

Blessings to you.
